September 19, 2007

Hey everyone. Can't believe it's been so long since I posted! Here are a couple of layouts I've done up this week for my CT. You can find credits in my gallery links on the right of the blog. The photos are from Shayla's field trip to Gooseberry up Salina Canyon. We went up on Thursday last week and spent the night. It was a lot of fun. Chuck had gone with the other two girls, so I was glad I got to go this time.

We've just been hanging out not doing a whole lot. Joshua and I spend some time each morning out swinging and today I took him for a walk, we chased butterflies. I'm also still working 2 hours during the day and 2 hours in the evening after the kids go to bed.

We're saving up money to build another shed for our worms. Donations are appreciated rofl.

My good friend Becki and I have been doing some designing together. We have two kits done, but want to get a few more completed before we start posting them for our readers.

Well, have a good one!

I am so excited. I have just been accepted to be on Angela Niehaus' Creative Team. She designs at www.digitalcandy.ca so check out her designs. This layout of Stacia was created from a free kit she is offering on her blog called Frog Princess. I was so excited to use it . . .as you can see Stacia is playing with a frog. You can find the kit at http://aniehaus.typepad.com/my_digital_scrapbook_blog/, so go pick it up!

Tuesday, Septemer 4th

Hey all. We had a wonderful Labor Day, I hope those of you in the US also had a great holiday.
It was Chuck's b-day and we decided to head up to the lake for a bit. The kids had a lot of fun and it was Joshua's first experience throwing rocks into the lake. He took too it like a boy should! The funniest thing that happened was when Joshua was walking up a pretty steep grassy hill from the lake marina towards me and he noticed an airplane. He pointed up to it and as it flew overhead he kept right on pointing, tipped right over backwards on the hill. He was fine, but it was pretty funny to watch the startled look on his sweet little face rofl.

I got some pretty nice pictures. Can't wait to actually scrap them. Don't have time today, this morning I'm suppose to be shredding newspaper (I've gotten alot done and the paper shredder HAS to cool down). Then I work from noon until 2:00, gotta run to town and pick up a few groceries (pause. .joshua was throwing rocks at the chickens . .now where was I). Oh yea, pick up a few groceries and be home in time for the girls to get off the bus. Ugh . . .boys, why does he have to EAT the rock?

Fish Lake. ..it was cloudy, but not cold and we left before the rain started.

Chuck and Joshua.

The kids . .l-r Shayla, Stacia, Makiya and Joshua is on her lap.

This picture is a bit dark (sorry). Front l-r - Stacia, Shayla, Makiya with dad (chuck) in the back. I wanted them to climb up on the big rock they are standing in front of, but they were in their school clothes and there wasn't an easy way up.

Umm, I did this on Sunday night (we'd had a small party for chuck and considering Joshua had found a marker (water) and colored his tummy red, I figured I'd help him out and write on his back!

Saturday, September 1st

Good morning blog readers! It's a beautiful morning here in central Utah. Looks like it's going to be another hot one though. Dh and Makiya are up north at the farmer's market. We actually have a landscaping company that bought 400 lbs of worm castings this weekend. Being the end of the season, we really couldn't believe it! They are even willing to pre-order and pay a 50% deposit on 2,000 lbs come spring. What a blessing for us! We are wanting to build more sheds to house our worms and that deposit sure will help us out.

Alright, we've survived 2 weeks of school now. The girls are loving their new teachers and Makiya is doing great in middle school. She is loving band. . she chose the flute and claims she is one of the best so far in class . . . some of the kids have yet to make sound come out of their flutes and Makiya accomplished that the 1st day.

Some of you may have noticed I severed ties with DigiScrapShak. Poor management at that site drove me away.

So, I've finally found a new home online for digial scrapbooking. The website is: http://www.digitalscrapbookartisanguild.com/ The stuff in their store is fantastic and the ladies there are so welcoming!

They have fun challenges and with membership they have great learning classes. I've applied for their CT, but so have alot of other very talented ladies, so wish me luck!

I've done up a few layouts to share with you.

This first one I did was a challenge at my new "home." You can find the credits in the link to my DSAG gallery on the right side of the blog. (same goes for each layout).

These are pictures from the first day of school this year.

I just couldn't resist another layout with the pictures ofJoshua and the chickens.

Have a great day . .and can you believe it is September 1st!
