Happy Halloween readers! We had a great day. The girls all had fun dressing up for school and also for the dinner and trunk or treat at the church this evening. Here are some of my favorite shots.
The girls before heading over to the church for the annual dinner/trunk or treat.
I've been having a difficult time getting Joshua to stand still for pictures lately . . . he says "cheese" and then turns and runs. This is the best I could get with him wearing his hard hat. He was a builder.
Makiya with her decorated cookie . .She was a fortune teller.
Joshua wouldn't keep his cute yellow hard hat on his head! Here he is just standing around and taking everything all in. He had a blast tonight. When we were driving home Chuck asked the kids if they had fun and he just yelled as loud as he could "yeah."
This picture of Makiya is actually from Saturday evening. She went to a Halloween Party hosted by a friend from school. She did wear the wig to school, but took it off and didn't want to wear it tonight because it bothered her.
Last night (tuesday) Chuck helped Stacia and Shayla carve pumpkins. We turned out the lights and I got this darling picture of Joshua being "scared". He hunches up his shoulders and shakes, it's pretty funny.
Here's Joshua from tonight. He decorated a couple of cookies. This was his first one. After that he just wanted to decorate them, but didn't want to eat them.
Here's my little vampire, Shayla with her decorated cookie.
The model Stacia striking a pose. She was an egyptian queen. I called her a princess and couple of times and was quickly corrected.

Monday, October 15th
Wow, the middle of the month! Anyone started Christmas shopping yet? I need to get Makiya's birthday out of the way this week. I'm taking her and several of her friends for Manicures at the college, can't beat $3 manicures hehe.
Becki and I have a wonderful new freebie up over at August Designs.
I felt like the world worst mother on Friday. I went to pull Joshua up off the floor and I dislocated his elbow!!!! Can you believe it. I mean, I realize it's common, but you still feel horrible when you do it to your own child. I took him over to the emergency room (thank goodness it was our regular doctor on call there, I don't really like very many of the doctors that work at the ER). Our doctor had x-rays done, poor Joshua just cried and cried. I was glad it wasn't broken. The doctor popped it back into place (or so he thought). We waited a while to see if Joshua would start using it, but he just kept on crying. The doctor was concerned, so he felt Joshua's elbow and sure enough it still wasn't in place, the doctor really had to do some twisting and pulling to get it back into joint. I was just about in tears! I think if it had been any doctor other than our regular doctor, I would have yelled at him for hurting Joshua so bad! But, then, I was mostly upset with myself for causing the problem in the first place.
Joshua didn't sleep to good on Friday night, and Saturday he pretty much walked around with his poor arm craddled up against him saying "ouchie" all day. BUT, Sunday dawned yesterday and he didn't complain about it at all! I'm glad he is feeling better.
Well, that was our grand adventure for the weekend. Hope everyone had a good one!

This morning my dh and I were sitting in the living room watching out the front window for the bus to come pick up the girls for school (they'd already gone out to the bus stop). Well, we heard a noise by the dog door and I said, "oh, the goat is poking her head through the dog door again."
About 5-10 minutes later my dh went to our bedroom and I hear him say, "Oh, hello!"
The goat had crawled through the dog door and was standing on our bed! Needless to say, she's back on her chain now.
I didn't think she'd fit through the door. I guess she figured if Joshua could crawl through it, she could too. (Yes, Joshua has decided that's how he's coming in the house from playing).
Starting Monday my friend Becki and I will start sharing a fun, very girly kit we've made up. It will be on our blog we've set up just for it (and other fun things we've been working on). So, check back Monday for the link to our new blog (this one will still stay active so don't delete me!).
