I decided to take a few photos of Joshua out doing his favorite past-time this evening. I picked up this great kit for free at censloft.blogspot.com There are several different animals and it absolutely darling.

My baby had a birthday a couple of weeks ago. I did up this fun layout for a challenge at Make it Scrappy dot com. I had to use their quote. I can't believe Joshua is two already! Took him in for his 2 year doctor appointment yesterday. It was the FIRST time he didn't cry the second the nurse wanted to weigh him. He also had to get 2 shots. The first one he flinched a bit and the second one he cried for a minute, but I was so proud of him. We left the doctor's office and he kept saying, "doc, doc, doc." So, on top of being such a good boy he learned a new word. Today he actually asked me for a "ink" (drink) for the first time. Usually he just hands me his sippy cup and walks over to the sink or fridge (depending on what he wants).
His current favorite pass-time is playing outside in the backyard. He loves chasing the "bop-bops" (chickens) and playing with the "goak" (goat).

I was outside helping Stacia take care of her goat when I spotted this rainbow. Joshua has been obsessed with rainbows lately, so I took a picture of it. Thought I'd share it.
A while later I went out to move the water on the front lawn and noticed the moon hovering over the mountains to the east of us. Thought it would make a nice picture too. Usually pictures I take of the moon never turn out, but I think this one looks pretty good.

Finally some photos.
Joshua's birthday was last Friday. We celebrated with pizza (left overs on Joshua's face hehe), cake and presents.
First day of school. Stacia is now in 4th grade and Shayla in 3rd.
I failed to get a picture of Makiya on the first day of school, so I snapped one this morning. I love her new hair cut! She is so grown up. She has started middle school.
Last night I was putting Makiya's hair in rollers and Joshua decided he just HAD to have them in his hair too. Of course, Chuck about died when I showed him this photo.

Unique position available.
I am looking for an artist that is interested in sketching some buildings for me. A friend and I are wanting to design some kits for members of our church and I'd like to be able to create an overlay of LDS temples. You can find photos of the buildings here: http://www.lds.org/temples/geographical/0,11380,1899-1,00.html Just choose the area and go from there. (mostly interested at this time in the United States).
Compensation: Once our kits are done you can chose a few you would like. Some will be LDS specific, but others will be just regular kits anyone would want to use.
This is in the very early, early stages of planning and so far we've only started coming up with color themes and ideas, but we are hopeful there will be a good variety of colors, elements and goodies.
If things work out good and you'd be interested in staying a permanent part of our team, we'd love to come up with ideas of other hand drawn items we could use in our kits as well.
Email me at ms4kidz@yahoo.com if you would like to give this a go. We would like the sketches drawn dark enough for scanning . .I can do the extraction work to eliminate backgrounds for .png files or if you are talented and own one of those fancy computer tablets you can draw on that would be great too. I'd like to see 3-4 sketches of the temples.
Thanks!

Here are a couple of layouts I've done up today. This first one is for the Ad-on Challenge at Digiscrapshak.com Complete 3 challenges during the month of August and receive a fantastic kit free. (I've got it and it's wonderful). This is Joshua and our goat, Cookie Dough, this morning "bonding".
This layout I did for Challenge #8 of the Amazing Digi Scrapbook Race 2. The layout had to relate to the title "Girl Talk." Credits for both layouts can be found in my gallery at DSS (link on the right hand side of my blog).

Oh, I'm finally back. For some reason on my new computer I can't log into my blog through internet explorer, so I've loaded firefox and can now get in! Yipee.
Just a quick update. I'm home from training for 2 weeks and I've almost completed my first week of working at home.
Tomorrow is Shayla's baptism. We're all excited about that.
I've got lots of stuff to load here, but it will probably be the first of the week before I have time to do any real updating here. I'm just glad I'm back.
