Day 10
We went to basketball games last night. It was Shayla's last game. She did go good. Her team lost by 2 points, but they did much better against this team than they did last time they played them. She was excited because her school teacher came to watch the game. Two of the other team members are in Shayla's school class and the teacher has attended a couple of their games. Pretty awesome teacher huh!
Stacia's game was good too, although they also lost. They've only lost 2 games the whole season and it was against this particular team. It seemed like there was a board laying across basket opening for Stacia's team. They really had a hard time getting anything in the basket, which just isn't like them. They usually win their games like 30 something to 10. Last nights final score was 24 to 18, so not too horrible of a loss. Next week they start a 3 week tournament, whatever that means rofl. I would be surprised if the final game doesn't come down to Stacia's team against the team they played last night. Stacia's teacher came last night to watch the game. Stacia is the only player on the team in her class, so another teacher that ROCKS. The teacher was saying to goes to alot of the boys games, but had never been to one of the girls games.
We had 2 hours to wait between the end of Shayla's game and the beginning of Stacia's game, so we hit Wal-mart for a few groceries and home ec accessories for Makiya. We then went over to McDonalds for dinner and let Joshua, Shayla and Stacia play a bit on the indoor playground.
Well, it's almost 8:00 am. I've got to get working. Have a great day!

Day 9
If I'd had my camera today, I would have taken a picture of Joshua playing outside in the snow. He stayed out all of 5 minutes rofl. It was pretty cold out there this morning.
We have basketball tonight. There are 2 hours between Shayla's game and Stacia's game, so we are taking the kids to dinner and I need to go by wal-mart for milk and cereal and Makiya needs some things for school.
Yesterday, Chuck thought he'd take Midnight out to the worm shed with him. She was out in the backyard, so he opened the gate and called her. He could NOT get her to cross over the threshold of the gate and go out with him. He coaxed her for 5 minutes and she wouldn't go out of the backyard hehe. This this morning he called her to go outside with him through the side door, had doggie treats too, and she wouldn't go out. We trained her too well. We'll have to hook a leash to her to get her to go out with him rofl. At least I can be sort of certain if the door gets left open she won't take off.
I am reading The Story of Edgar Sawtell. Anyone read it? I'm about 1/2 way done. It's taken me over 2 weeks to read that far. It's a good book, but it's taking forever for me to get through it. Any thoughts about the book? Just don't give the ending away.

Day 4
#2
Oh, update on Makiya. I took her back to the doctor's office yesterday and her ear looked about as bad as it did 10 days ago. She's now on a stronger antibiotic and woke up feeling alot better this morning. Joshua entertained the doctor with this little goodie. "I have a doctor kit at my house." Dr. "You do huh? Do you want to be a doctor when you grow up?" Joshua, "Yep, and a police man, and a fire man and Prince Edward." Yeah, we were all laughing pretty hard.

Day 3
Here are pictures from Stacia's game. She did so good last night too. I was driving her to school this morning and she was sad. She said "I'm finally starting to get where I feel confident and the games are almost over!" She has really improved over the last 2 months. She's been an a fantasic team, (I think they've only lost once).
In this picture she is the one on the far left.

New Blog
I've also decided to start the Project 365 . .I'm a little late starting, but that's okay. If you don't know what Project 365 is, well, you take a picture every day of the year. Then those of us that are scrappers, take those pictures and make scrapbook pages. I think I will do one page for each week. So, each layout will have 7 pictures on it. I'm sure it will make this year very memorable and we'll love looking back at 2009 in pictures. I'm starting tomorrow, so my week will be Monday - Sunday.
We are all finally NOT SICK! Yippeeee, we had our first week of NOT going to the doctor's office since the week after Thanksgiving. Makiya was still home from school Monday to Thursday and went on Friday. She probably wouldn't have gone, but the day was over at 11:00 am. The last couple of times we went to the doctors office for Makiya, Joshua would proudly tell Dr. Blackham, "I'm not sick today!"
Yesterday morning I went outside to feed the chickens and the goat (and her boyfriend). When I came back in I sat down at the computer and I could hear Chuck and Joshua talking in the bedroom. They came out a minute or two later and Joshua saw me and came running and threw his arms around me and said, "Mommy, I was so worried about you, so was daddy!" I laughed and asked why. Apparently Joshua didn't remember me telling him I was going outside, so when Chuck was looking for me and asked Joshua where I was Joshua told him he didn't know, so they went hunting for me and couldn't find me. It was nice to be worried about!

Chirstmas Pictures finally!
Christmas finally came down today. I cleaned the living room good too and we rearranged it so the girls could have our hockey table set back up. They got it for Christmas a few years ago and we put it down about a year ago because nobody was playing it. It'll stay up for a few months until nobody plays anymore.
In honor of Christmas finally coming down today I decided I better get Christmas pictures loaded.
At our annual Family Christmas Party with my side of the family the kids put on a Nativity Pagent. Here it is at the end. Shayla was Mary, Makiya was Joseph, Stacia a Wise Man, Joshua a Shepherd and my niece, Oakley was the angel. Deacon was sleeping.
My mom has for the past couple of years given the kids new pillow cases. This year they are so nice, they are flannel and they have fun little primary pictures on them.
Here is Stacia, closest to a smile that I've gotten from her in a long time.
Here is Shayla.
Joshua was so proud of himself. He didn't even cry (or scream) like last year!
Makiya was so excited for her Christmas Present. She got a new mattress and Grandpa and Grandma got her new sheets and a new comforter. We can never get her out of bed anymore!
Joshua, being Prince Edward again. (Had to white on the screen on my computer because it had work related stuff on it.)
